Seniors



Senior Fees will be $75.  This will include cap, gown, tassel, diploma, cover and senior dues.  If students do not participate in graduation, the fee will be $15.  This will cover the cost of the diploma and cover.

Senior Profile

All seniors are required to complete a Senior Profile and turn it in to their counselor to be eligible for any scholarships. Senior profiles are due to your counselor by December 1, 2019.

Meet with Your Counselor
Make an appointment for your senior meeting with your counselor. Items that will be discussed include your senior contract, plans after high school, college admissions, and career explorations. The Georgia Student Finance Commission is now going to require students to complete the FAFSA application to get HOPE. The HOPE application is no longer available.

BASIC INFORMATION ON TYPES OF FINANCIAL AID

HOPE GRANT
*Must be a Georgia resident pursing a diploma or certificate program at a technical college
*Pays a percentage of tuition determined yearly
*Must maintain a 3.0 GPA in college

HOPE SCHOLARSHIP
*Be a Georgia resident pursuing a degree program
*College Prep student must have a 3.0 GPA on academics only
*Tech Prep diploma recipients must graduate with a 3.2 GPA on academics only
*Pays a percentage of tuition at public schools
*Pays $1800 per semester toward private schools (amount may change yearly)
*Must complete FAFSA

GEORGIA TUITION EQUALIZATION GRANT
*Pays toward private schools only
*Amount varies from year to year

PELL GRANT
*Based on financial need
*If eligible, provides up to $5550 toward college expenses yearly
*Must complete FAFSA

STUDENT LOANS
*Must pay back
*Must complete FAFSA

ZELL MILLER SCHOLAR
*Must have a 3.7 GPA on academic classes only plus a 1200 combined critical reading and math score at a single sitting or a composite ACT score of 26
*At a Ga Public college it will pay 100% of tuition
*At a Ga Private college it will pay 100% of HOPE allotted award amount NOT 100% of the tuition.
